Accidental tea

Created by Nabil 6 years ago
As a university student friend of Dr Sagar's son Tim, I foolishly volunteered one weekend to help with the DIY family move into the brand new house next door which William had designed and helped build from scratch piece by piece.
I was awakened  by William at 5 am with a cup of tea to help  start the long day ahead, I didn't think much of the first couple of sips but the tea got better further down and was perfect when I reached the bottom of the mug to see the pile of loose leaves. I realised then that he made me a loose leaf tea cup bypassing the teapot, I thought basic, perhaps even crude but effective nevertheless. Years later he was telling a crowd of us a story about him panicking trying to save the life of a critical patient, I don't recall the exact emergency or the technique used, but it was something along the lines of puncturing improvised air inlet into the windpipe, and a gain I thought , basic, crude yet effective. However William was anything but basic or crude, he was a larger than life  clever  multi talented man who was better than most in channelling his diversified talents.
Anyway forty years since that house move and i still only brew loose leaf tea.
So Thank You Dr Sagar for that prescription
